13 Tips to Survive Holiday at the beach
Christmas doesn’t have to be all about the cold weather. Some people actually opt to go to the beach during this season to reflect about the past year and to relax and rejuvenate both their bodies and souls.
However, vacationing at the beach also posts a few disasters—especially if you have no idea what to do. Luckily, here are 15 tips that you can keep in mind to keep your beach holiday trips fuss-free!
1. Get cheap flights
You can do this by making sure that you book early. Look for ads in the newspaper, or follow airline companies online so you can book some tickets way before your intended date of departure. You’ll get to save money and be able to use it for more important things during your trip.
2. Look for the best accommodations
You’re not going to lounge around the shore all night, are you? You need a place to stay in. Weeks before your travel, figure out whether you have enough budget for a luxury hotel, or if you’d rather stay in B & B’s or inns around the beach. Maybe, you can stay with a friend who lives near the area.
3. Wear sunscreen
It’s a trip to the beach, but that doesn’t mean you will just allow your skin to be burnt. Wear sunscreen with SPF 20 to 45 and you’ll be safe.
4. Look for a local tour guide
In Boracay, for example, there are guides who can take you from one station to another to check out the various beaches in the island.A local tour guide would also guideyou where to get souvenirs and must-eat local dishes the place can offer.

7. Use some baby powder
Put some baby powder on your feet or anywhere in your body that’s pestered by sand, and voila, the sand will be rinsed off—even without water.

Make sure that you keep gadgets and other electronics in plastic bags that are well-sealed to keep them safe from the water.
9. Refrigerate some aloe vera gel
